For Kids and Teens

Children don’t need to be “fixed. ”They need the skills, confidence, and support to understand themselves and navigate the world around them. I provide individualized social-emotional learning coaching for children and families, drawing on nearly two decades of experience as a school psychologist and educator. Through a strengths-based, practical approach, we build skills in emotional regulation, resilience, self-awareness, executive functioning, social problem-solving, and self-efficacy, helping children recognize what they already do well while developing the tools they need to thrive.

My Beyond the Diagnosis service specializes exclusively in translating existing neuropsychological evaluations, IEPs, and 504 plans into actionable, daily success. I do not offer diagnostic testing. Instead, I act as the practical bridge for families across Fairfield and New Haven counties, turning complex clinical reports into concrete, Monday-morning game plans. From my primary hub directly at the Milford Train Station and through concierge Fairfield County in-home services, we provide ultra-individualized executive functioning coaching for kids and teens, targeted, customized consultation for parents, and expert strategies for collaboration and success with your school-based team.

Meet Dr. Dani Rathey

I am an educational psychologist, school psychologist, educator, and performing artist who brings together the science of psychology, the art of teaching, and the power of creative expression. With nearly two decades of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and educators, I take a strengths-based, whole-person approach to helping young people understand themselves, build confidence, navigate challenges, and thrive. My work is grounded in positive psychology and informed by the belief that growth happens when we feel known, capable, and connected. I create thoughtful, individualized experiences that turn social-emotional skills into something children can genuinely understand, practice, and carry with them into the world.
